Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi today tried her hand at making dosas at a hotel in Karnataka's Mysuru. The Congress leader is visiting the state to campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Priyanka Gandhi was joined by fellow Congress leaders DK Shivakumar and Randeep Singh Surjewala.

In a video that is viral on social media, Priyanka Gandhi can be seen in the hotel's kitchen, interacting with the staff and flipping dosas.

The restaurant in question is Mylari Hotel, one of Mysuru's oldest food joints. Later, she thanked the hotel's owner and his family and took a selfie with them.

"Enjoyed making dosas with the legendary Myalri Hotel owners this morning. What a shining example of honesty, hard work, and enterprise. Thank you for your gracious hospitality. The dosas were delicious too Can't wait to bring my daughter to Mysuru to try them," Priyanka Gandhi tweeted.

Elections to the 224-seat Karnataka Assembly will be held in a single phase on May 10, with the counting of votes scheduled on May 13.

Addressing a public meeting in Mysuru yesterday, Priyanka Gandhi said, "The Prime Minister came here and said the leaders of the Opposition want to dig his grave. What kind of talk is this? Every citizen of the country would like the health of the Prime Minister to be good," as quoted by news agency PTI.

"The people of Karnataka should not vote on the words of any leader but of their conscience," she added.

She claimed that it is time for a change in Karnataka as BJP has not done any constructive work in the state.

KPCC president DK Shivakumar accompanied Priyanka Gandhi to the Mylary and she was seen eating idlis at the 80-year-old restaurant which is known for its breakfast. She also walked inside the kitchen and tried her hands on making and flipping a famous Mysuru masala dosa. Priyanka even had a chat with the customers and was also seen talking to the kids while having her breakfast.

Congress leader DK Shivakumar took to social media and wrote, “Started the day with an authentic special Idli breakfast with Smt. @PriyankaGandhi at the iconic 80 years old Mylari Hotel in Mysuru. The food here not just fills your stomach, it fills your heart as well.”

On Tuesday, Priyanka Gandhi addressed a public rally at T Narsipura and slammed PM Narendra Modi. She said, “I have seen that BJP leaders come here and speak strange things. I heard the Prime Minister was saying that opposition leaders want to dig his grave, what kind of talk is this? There won't be anyone in this country who doesn't want our Prime Minister's good health and that he has a long life.” Priyanka also urged the people of Karnataka to dethrone BJP from power with their votes.

The assembly elections in Karnataka will be held on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13.
